About this site

asymptotically.me is a personal hobby project, not a company. I built it for fun and to share tools I find useful. Every template and widget on the site is free to use. I have no commercial interest in your data. I will never sell it, analyse it for marketing purposes, or share it with anyone.

What I collect and why

Notion sign-in

Connecting your Notion account is required to use the site. This is the only account system — your Notion identity is used solely to recognise you as a returning user and to keep your session secure. When you connect Notion, I store:

Nothing beyond these three fields is collected from your Notion account. The OAuth token obtained during sign-in has broad technical capabilities, but the application will only read from or write to your Notion databases when you use a database-backed widget (such as the Reading List) and connect a specific database. In that case, your token is used solely to operate that database. No other databases or pages are accessed.

Widget update emails (optional)

If you sign up for widget or template updates, I store the email address you provide and which page you signed up from (for example the homepage, widgets page, or templates page). This is only used to send occasional news about new or updated widgets and templates. You can ask me to remove your address at any time — see Your rights below.

Storage

Your data is stored in a private Supabase database, accessible only to me as the site owner. A user_id cookie in your browser links your session to your stored record.

Cookies

I use a single user_id cookie to identify your session. It is HttpOnly, uses a lax same-site policy, and lasts one year. No tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies are used.

Your rights

You can revoke Notion access at any time from your Notion connected integrations settings. To remove a widget-update email signup or ask what data I hold about you, email info@asymptotically.me.
